Round Up of Summertime Gigs and Festivals in London

Undoubtedly the Summer fun really kicks off when festival season starts, and with it being Glastonbury this week (June 25th – June 29th), it’s officially the time to embrace your wellies, get outside and enjoy the festivals and abundance of music gigs there are on offer across the capital.

The Calling Festival 28- 29th June

Yes! The man himself, Stevie Wonder, is headlining at The Calling Festival on 29th June at London’s Clapham Common, a host of other guests are also performing over the weekend including: Jack Johnson, Paloma Faith, Gregory Porter and Bruno Major.

British Summer Time @ Hyde Park – July 2014

Not just one date, nor one weekend, but a whole host of various acts, stages and dates celebrating talent across the board at Hyde Park! The list’s too long to mention in one go but includes: Tom Jones, Tim Minchin, Arcade Fire, The Pogues, Little Mix, Backstreet Boys, The Vamps, Milton Jones and more!

Thursday July 3rd – Arcade Fire, Jake Bugg, Wild Beasts, Future Islands and

Thursday July 10th – Tim Minchin, Nina Conti, Milton Jones, Pajama Men, Gina Yashere and Jasper Carrott.

Wireless Festival @ Finsbury Park 4th-6th July

Some huge stars are taking part in this weekend gig across London and Birmingham. Tickets are sold out for the Friday and Saturday gigs on all the major websites, but we’ve got some just for you! Friday sees Kanye West and Pharrell Williams amongst many others whilst Saturday plays host to Drake and Rudimental with Sunday having Bruno Mars and OutKast as headlining acts. Summer Series at Somerset House 10th-20th July

Somerset House is hosting 10 days of outstanding talent this July. Acts include: Kelis, SamSmith, Franz Ferdinand, Bastille, Chvrches and Clean Bandit. Click here to find out what tickets we have available.

V Festival Hylands Park – 16th-17th August

OK, so it may not quite be London, but it’s close enough for us! The V Festival kicks off on 16th August in Chelmsford and Leeds. Once again there are multiple stages and acts taking part in this massive event! Justin Timberlake, Ed Sheeran, Example and Bastille can all be seen on the Saturday 16th (17th if you’re going to the Leeds V Festival). If you’re lucky enough to get tickets to the Sunday show, the line up includes The Killers, Paolo Nutini, Lily Allen and Rudimental.

Greenwich Music Time – 20th-23rd August

London’s newest outdoor concert series hosted in Greenwich, set on the banks of the River Thames. It boasts a fully seated outdoor music venue with The Austrailian Pink Floyd Show, GoldFrapp, Russell Watson and Jools Holland, all featuring over the 4 day event.

South West Four – Clapham Common – 23rd – 24th August

Bank Holiday weekend plays host to the South West Four Weekender at Clapham Common. From humble beginnings in a back yard in 2001, South West Four moved to Clapham Common in 2004 and became an overnight success. Featuring some of the best DJ’s and Live Electronic acts around, this is an unusual festival that’s held in the heart of London.

Saturday 23rd: Main stage Above & Beyond, Alesso and more will be playing with New World Punx as special guests.

Sunday: Deadmau5, Eric Prydz and more will be playing with Pusha T as special guest.

And if that isn’t enough for you there are many more concerts taking place in London over the Summer! These include Eminem, Monty Python, Jack White, Robbie Williams, Pearl Jam, Daryl Hall & John Oates and Blink 182. Check out who’s playing by date right here.
