Invictus Games Closing Ceremony The Foo Fighters, Kaiser Chiefs plus many more! 14th September at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London
The epic Foo Fighters return to the UK headlining The Invictus Games Closing ceremony at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on the 14th September. The brainchild of HRH Prince Harry, after visiting the Warrior Games in Colorado last year, aim to bring together service men and women who have suffered personal injury serving their respective countries. The Foo Fighters are also releasing their new album “Sonic Highways”, around November 10th 2014! Let’s hope they’re back in the UK next year for a lengthy tour!
Iggy Azalea 17th September O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire
Iggy Azalea (born Amethyst Amelia Kelly) is an Australian Hip-Hop artist and model. She’s bringing her “The New Classic Tour” to the UK in September and is playing several gigs including the 17th at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. She’s also going to make a cameo appearance in Fast & Furious 7 later on next year (2015), her first big screen gig!
Ryan Adams 18th and 19th at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire
The ex Whiskeytown and The Cardinals member is set to play the 18th and 19th September at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Ryan Adams Solo album is due for release on September 9th 2014. Adams is not only a performer but also a singer, songwriter, producer and guitarist.
Ms Lauryn Hill, 20th September O2 Academy Brixton
Best known for her solo album ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ and being a member of The Fugees, Lauryn Hill makes a welcome return to the UK Stage in a one-off not to be missed show at the O2 Academy Brixton. This is her second appearance in 5 years on UK soil and definitely one you cannot miss!
First Aid Kit 24th at The Royal Albert Hall
Swedish Folk duo, First Aid Kit, take to the stage at The Royal Albert Hall on the 24th September. The duo have gained worldwide fame with the country influenced and harmonic vocals. You can also catch them in Bristol, Manchester, Belfast and Dublin, before they head off on a European leg of their tour and return to the USA in October.
ALT-J 24th September, Alexandra Palace
Alt-J, An indie rock band from Leeds, got together in 2007 whilst in the second year at University and weren’t officially signed to a label until 2011 with Infectious Records. ALT-J play Alexandra Palace on 24th September.
An Evening with Jason Mraz, 26th The Royal Albert Hall, London
In July Mraz released his 5th studio album entitled ‘Yes!’, which is the singers first acoustic album and was recorded with pop-rock girl band Raining Jane. He’s won many awards over the years including several Teen Choice awards. He’s playing venues in Manchester, Cambridge and The Royal Albert Hall in London on 26th September.
The Libertines 27th and 28th Alexandra Palace
See The Libertines rock London on 27th and 28th September with founding members Pete Doherty and Carl Barat at the helm in their first tour in 10 years! Since posting a teaser of Hyde Park on their Instagram accounts, The Libertines have headlined at Hyde Park, played NOS Alive in Portugal, and announced a European tour with 10 dates including their Ali Pali appearances.
Kylie Minogue 29th + 30th O2 Arena London
The Princess of Pop, Kylie Minogue is back for another UK tour! The mini starlet has recently been asked to appear in the soap that made her famous “Neighbours” for their 30th anniversary celebrations – is it time for Charlene to dust off her overalls? You can catch Kylie on the 29th and 30th of September at the O2 Arena London. Come on baby, do the Loco-motion!
The 1975 Tuesday 30th Alexandra Palace
Manchester Indi Rock Band The 1975, play Alexandra Palace on the 30th September and 1st October 2014 as part of their World Tour. They’re playing the Reading and Leeds festival on 22nd and 24th of August, before jetting off to Europe and the USA to perform before heading back to the UK for their Great Britain leg of the tour. It’s certainly been a busy Summer for The 1975 and the end of 2014 looks equally gruelling, finishing with New Jersey on the 9th December.
